Requirements for a Marriage Licence in the Yukon

No Yukon residency requirements
Birth Certificate or valid passport
Parents consent is required if are under 19 years
If previously married: Final Divorce Decree, or Spouse's Certificate of Death is required
Both parties must appear together to obtain licence
Fee: $20.00
No blood tests required
Mandatory 24 hour waiting period before licence can be used; licence may be used up to 3 months from date of issue but expires after that time if unused.

Please Note:

Marriage licences in Canada must be issued in the province or territory where the marriage is to take place.

Please bring the following information with you:

Father's surname, given names and place of birth

Mother's surname(maiden name), given names and place of birth
