     Requirements for a Marriage Licence in the Yukon

• No Yukon residency requirements
• Birth Certificate or valid passport
• Parents consent is required if are under 19 years
• If previously married: Final Divorce Decree, or Spouse's Certificate of Death is required
• Both parties must appear together to obtain licence
• Fee: $20.00
• No blood tests required
• Mandatory 24 hour waiting period before licence can be used; licence may be used up to 3 months from date of issue but expires after that time if unused.

• Please Note: 
• Marriage licences in Canada must be issued in the province or territory where the marriage is to take place.

Please bring the following information with you:

• Father's surname, given names and place of birth
• Mother's surname(maiden name), given names and place of birth
